By the 23:00 close, China’s domestic front-month futures were mixed, with more
gainers than losers. Fuel oil jumped over 4%; low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), coking
coal and asphalt rose more than 3%; paraxylene (PX), bottle-grade PET chips and
polyester short fiber gained over 2%; ethylene glycol (EG) was up about 2%. On
the downside, glass fell nearly 2%; soda ash, No.20 rubber, rapeseed meal, corn
and rubber dropped over 1%; pulp and starch declined about 1%.
