Minutes after midnight the state fire-and-rescue service issued a yellow air threat alert covering Vilnius city, Vilnius district and Trakai district; the alert has since been lifted. Vilnius airport operations and nearby airspace were temporarily restricted. The State Emergency Management Centre said the drone was located near Trakai, NATO fighters were scrambled, and about 30 minutes later the device was reported destroyed. Lithuanian officials said the drone may have come from Belarus but have not disclosed its model, operator or motive.
