Shipping data show transits through the Strait of Hormuz fell further early this
week as attacks in the Middle East escalated. Kpler preliminary data on Tuesday
showed four vessels transited on Monday, down from 10 the previous day — two
dry-bulk vessels departing the waterway (one laden, one in ballast) and two
tankers entering (both in ballast). Data exclude vessels that switched off AIS
to avoid monitoring.
