China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance said domestic power battery installations in August were 79.0 GWh, up 5.9% MoM and 26.3% YoY. Ternary (NCM) battery installations were 11.0 GWh, 14.0% of the total, down 1.0% MoM and up 0.9% YoY. Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery installations were 67.6 GWh, 85.6% of the total, up 7.0% MoM and 31.0% YoY. Jan–Aug cumulative installations totaled 489.1 GWh, up 17.0% YoY; cumulative ternary installs 85.6 GWh (17.5% share, +10.6% YoY) and cumulative LFP installs 402.7 GWh (82.3% share, +18.3% YoY).
