Politico, citing two EU diplomats and a draft agenda, reports government
officials from EU member states will meet in Brussels on Thursday to discuss
global rules for risks posed by novel AI models. The European Commission will
brief the EU AI Committee — made up of member-state representatives — on recent
AI incidents and updates to EU and international AI policy. Diplomats say
discussions are expected to focus on coordination with G7, G20 and UN
initiatives; the committee also monitors implementation of the EU AI Act.
