Sept 16 — A Yinli-1 Yao-3 carrier rocket fired from the East China Sea
successfully placed eight Qianfan constellation satellites and one
ultra‑high‑speed wireless communications test satellite into an approximately
800 km orbit, Dongfang Space (Shandong) Technology Co., Ltd. said. Net payload
exceeded 3 tonnes, marking new Chinese highs for single sea‑launch payload
weight and insertion altitude and validating the sea‑launch mode for
medium‑to‑large satellite missions.
