AllianceBernstein fixed-income senior investment strategist Thierry Taglione said calls to slow AI development are unlikely to stop large tech firms from pursuing financing and capex. The remarks follow OpenAI's call to slow development of its most advanced models over safety concerns; the sector has seen valuation pullbacks and rising investor concern over credit risk and whether AI infrastructure capex will deliver adequate returns.

Tesla will exhibit its Cybercab in mainland China from Sept. 17 at the Beijing Huamao Tesla Experience Store and Shanghai Taikoo Hui. On Sept. 16 Tesla China said the displays are intended to showcase product design and technology concepts, do not constitute sales or market launch arrangements for the Cybercab, and the company currently has no plans to operate autonomous ride‑hailing services in mainland China.
