Most Hong Kong-listed optical-communications stocks rose. Haiguang Xinzhen (01191.HK) climbed more than 7%, Cambridge Technology (06166.HK) and Yangtze Optical Fibre & Cable (06869.HK) rose over 3%, and Hua Hong Hongli (01347.HK) gained more than 2%.

More than 300 South Korean workers arrested in a US immigration raid in Georgia last September are preparing legal action against the federal government, lodging administrative claims with nine agencies including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), ICE, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the FBI, the Justice Department and the Labor Department. Plaintiffs allege unlawful detention and poor conditions in custody and seek compensation for lost wages, seized property and emotional distress; their lawyer declined to disclose the amount claimed.
