On Sept 16 Kweichow Moutai said the dispute stems from a third-party internal contract, the court found the company bears no liability, the national enterprise credit information publicity system has corrected the record, and the company is working to have other platforms amend their reports.

Yemeni Houthi forces on Sept 16 denied Saudi allegations they threatened the holy city of Mecca, saying their operations target Saudi oil facilities and military bases, are far from religious sites and will not pose a threat to the city. The Saudi-led coalition said early on Sept 16 that Saudi air defenses on Sept 15 intercepted and destroyed a Houthi-launched drone south of Mecca; the coalition said the drone had not entered the city’s no-fly zone.
