UNHCR said on the 15th that rapidly escalating hostilities along Yemen’s western coast have internally displaced more than 100,000 people and forced thousands to cross the Bab el-Mandeb Strait to Djibouti. UNHCR warned further escalation would produce additional internal displacement and cross-border flows. In the past four days over 2,400 people have arrived in Djibouti by boat; more than 60% are women, children or elderly.
