SK Hynix and its union agreed a new wage and collective-bargaining deal that
raises the cash portion of profit-sharing bonuses to 50%, with the remainder
paid in company shares. Approximately 57% of union members approved the deal
after rejecting the company's earlier 40:60 cash-to-stock proposal. The
agreement ends roughly two weeks of renegotiation. Last year SK Hynix removed
the profit-sharing cap and pledged to allocate 10% of annual operating profit to
employee bonuses for 10 years.
