National Radio and Television Administration vice director He Biao said the NRTA
will, over the next five years, advance deep, coordinated integration of
traditional broadcast television and online audio‑visual services. Policy will
emphasize three attributes — ideological control, public service and
technology/industry development — and coordinate four business layers: broadcast
TV networks, IPTV, internet TV and the public internet. The NRTA said it will
consolidate and upgrade broadcast TV, innovate online audio‑visual, and drive
two strategic advances: bring broadcast media fully onto the internet’s main
battleground and position broadcast audio‑visual services at the center of
economic and social development.
