Following Apple’s launch of its first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy Z Fold8 recorded about a 10% week-on-week sales increase in South Korea in the week after the launch, South Korean telecom industry data released Sept. 17 showed. The data indicated consumers who had been waiting for Apple’s new model began buying Samsung Galaxy phones, redirecting some pent-up demand to Samsung’s foldable series.
