According to Iranian reports, Iran's deputy foreign minister and director-general for Western Europe, Ali Reza Yousefi, summoned Germany's ambassador in Tehran, Axel Wilhelm Dietmann, to lodge a formal protest over recent remarks by senior German officials and what Tehran described as interfering actions by the German embassy.

TD Securities global head of commodity strategy Bart Melek said markets have largely priced out a Fed rate hike in tonight's decision and oil fell on Wednesday. If energy prices remain subdued, the Fed may be less aggressive with tightening; easing in long-end yields is also reassuring.
