At the morning session close, China’s most-active futures contracts were mostly
lower. SC crude oil fell more than 8%, coking coal dropped over 6%, coke fell
nearly 5% and PET bottle-grade chip lost about 4%. Paraxylene, short fiber, PTA
and PVC each declined over 3%. On the upside, container shipping (Europe route)
rose nearly 3%, Shanghai silver gained over 2%, Shanghai lead and international
copper were up about 2%, and apples, Shanghai zinc, Shanghai copper and Shanghai
tin rose more than 1%.
