SK Inc., the SK Group holding company, has reassigned three of its four vice chairmen—Seo Jin-Woo, Yu Jeong-Joon and Lee Hyung-Hee—to semiconductor unit SK Hynix, industry sources said. The executives previously led the group's global business and external partnerships. SK Group said the move reflects rising geopolitical uncertainty in the semiconductor sector and aims to bring senior global experience to advise SK Hynix’s operations and support its mid-to-long-term strategy. The three have begun one-on-one meetings with SK Hynix executives. SK Group’s professional-manager vice-chairman team has also been placed at SK Hynix.

NBC, citing seven current and former U.S. and Western officials, reports the Pentagon is assessing a significant drawdown of U.S. forces in Europe that could withdraw roughly 25,000 troops—about one-third of the roughly 80,000 currently stationed there—and could extend to as many as 40,000. The Pentagon launched a six-month review in June; an assessment is expected to be submitted to the defense secretary soon.
