YONHAP reports SK Hynix unit Solidigm is evaluating sites and commercial terms
to build a large-scale NAND flash production line in the US East; that would be
its first US-based production facility. Solidigm was created after SK Hynix
acquired Intel’s NAND business in 2021. Sources say Solidigm is also weighing
cooperation with Intel on memory production and faces ongoing speculation about
a Nasdaq listing. An SK Hynix spokesperson said Solidigm is reviewing measures
to boost competitiveness but has made no final decisions.
