China postal industry revenue excluding Postal Savings Bank direct operating income totaled 1.23 tln yuan in Jan–Aug, up 6.0% YoY. Express revenue was 1.03 tln yuan, +7.4% YoY. Jan–Aug delivery volume reached 145.46 bln items, +4.0%; express volume 134.06 bln, +4.6%. In August, industry revenue was 150.54 bln yuan, +5.3%; express revenue 127.15 bln yuan, +6.9%. August delivery volume was 18.03 bln items, +2.3%; express volume 16.60 bln, +2.7%.

Bob Edwards, CIO of Edwards Asset Management, said the Fed’s rate hikes are now in place and have given markets sufficient clarity. He called the equity decline after the Fed meeting an overreaction and a buy‑the‑dip opportunity, arguing that price declines not accompanied by equivalent deterioration in corporate fundamentals are typical buy signals. Edwards said the firm is advising clients to increase equity exposure, prioritizing valuation, revenue growth, balance‑sheet strength and sustainable cash flow.
