The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) convened a Q3 2026
economic-operations meeting for major auto firms in Jinan on Sept. 16-18,
co-hosted by China National Heavy Duty Truck Group; representatives from 23
leading vehicle-makers and parts suppliers attended, including SAIC, China FAW,
Dongfeng, Changan, BAIC and GAC. Delegates focused on the continuity effects of
recent "two new" policies, measures to revive auto consumption, vehicle quality
and the aftermarket, firms’ production and operations, supply-chain resilience,
domestic and overseas investment trends, product homogenization, parity between
fuel and electric vehicles, industry self-regulation and export tax rebate
policy.
