French President Macron has called leaders of all parliamentary parties for briefings amid a worsening international situation.

PAJ said on Friday that despite concerns Saudi-Yemen fighting could widen Middle East tensions, Japanese refiners have secured adequate crude supplies through November. PAJ chairman Shunichi Kito said Saudi shipments have not fully stopped because of ship-to-ship transfers outside the Strait of Hormuz — in some cases oil transits the strait under Saudi risk then is transferred offshore — but he cautioned this may not continue and said additional releases from Japan's national reserves cannot be ruled out.

BANK OF JAPAN Governor UEDA said authorities must remain vigilant to upside inflation risks, including those stemming from tensions in the Middle East.
