South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy told lawmakers on Tuesday
that U.S. President Trump will make a final announcement on a bilateral
investment plan and, if Washington requests, funds could be remitted within 45
days. Seoul will provide full equity for a Texas gas-fired power project, with
ownership to be split equally with the U.S. partner. Yonhap reported Seoul would
retain voting rights in U.S. nuclear firm Westinghouse even with only a 5-10%
stake.
