Guangdong holds its second AI application matchmaking conference in Guangzhou on Sept. 22, themed "Connect thousands of industries, empower hundreds of sectors." The event will showcase recent AI developments, provide a platform for application‑scenario matching and precise supply‑demand links, and aims to promote high‑level AI application and province‑wide high‑quality AI development. This is the province's second such conference this year; the inaugural April event drew nearly 200 firms and displayed more than 300 AI results.

Jan–Aug 2026, China’s national power market trading volume rose 19.2% YoY. In August, trading volume was 754.8 bln kWh, up 15.2% YoY. By scope, intra‑provincial trading totaled 563.8 bln kWh (+16.0% YoY) and inter‑provincial/inter‑regional 191.0 bln kWh (+11.4%). By product, mid-to-long‑term trades were 681.9 bln kWh and spot trades 72.9 bln kWh. Green power trading reached 26.4 bln kWh (+7.7% YoY). Grid companies’ market-based proxy purchases amounted to 78.2 bln kWh.
