The Information reports the CFTC has extended its review of CME Group's planned launch of GPU futures.

Lithium carbonate futures contract 2701 turnover exceeded 15.8 bln yuan, up 2.35% intraday; last traded 134,160 yuan/ton. Open interest rose by over 5,000 lots intraday, with volume and open-interest activity increasing in tandem.

Hang Seng rose 0.36% to 25,131.75 at midday after an early intraday spike; the Hang Seng Tech Index outperformed, up 0.99% to 4,467.27. Market turnover was HKD 146.06 bln. Tech names led gains, innovative-drug stocks were active, mainland property names weakened and AI application plays showed mixed performance.
