Four legal experts say President Trump’s decision last week to bar CNN, MSNBC,
Politico and other outlets from the WHITE HOUSE over alleged "fake news" is
likely to face court challenges. A district judge who previously blocked a
Trump-era ban on a CNN reporter, Timothy Kelly, has scheduled a Wednesday
hearing on media requests for temporary restraining orders to block the ban.
First Amendment lawyer Douglas Mirell said the government can restrict access
only if a reporter is shown to be a security risk with clear evidence and
procedures in place.
