Bank Indonesia governor says the central bank will continue accommodative macroprudential measures to support economic growth while maintaining market stability.

Fars News reports Iran's parliament is reviewing a draft law titled Strategic Action to Ensure Security and Sustainable Development of the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf that would allow fines on violating vessels of up to 20% of cargo value.

The EU Council said on the 22nd it will extend sanctions on more than 3,000 Russian individuals and entities for 36 months, until Sept. 22, 2029. Measures include travel bans, asset freezes and prohibitions on supplying funds or other economic resources to listed targets. The Council noted the sanctions expansion followed Russia's Feb. 24, 2022 military action and that Moscow has implemented countermeasures; the effectiveness of EU sanctions has been widely questioned within the bloc.
