OECD said energy prices have risen again as production and export disruptions from Gulf economies intensified. On Sept 23 the National Energy Administration published August 2026 data from the national charging facilities monitoring service platform. As of end-August 2026 China had 24.223 mln EV charging connectors, up 39.6% YoY. Public connectors totaled 5.160 mln, up 19.5%, with rated total power of 262 GW and an average power per connector of about 50.69 kW. Private connectors totaled 19.063 mln, up 46.3%, with reported installed capacity of 163 mln kVA.
