Russia firmly supports Cuba’s demand for the immediate, full lifting of the trade, economic, financial and energy embargo, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during UN General Assembly high‑level week in New York. Lavrov met Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez; the two agreed to coordinate positions on international platforms—primarily within the UN framework—and to deepen their strategic partnership to safeguard global and regional security and advance a more multipolar world order.
