The PBOC Monetary Policy Committee met on Sept. 19 (Q3 2026, 114th meeting) and prioritized coordinating aggregate supply and demand. It called for stepped-up measures to expand domestic demand, optimize supply and accelerate the transition from old to new growth drivers to boost domestic-driven momentum, strengthen domestic circulation and the domestic–international dual circulation, and support sustained higher-quality economic growth.

India’s National Stock Exchange (NSE) listed Thursday, closing up 1.85% at 1,818 rupees after an intraday high about 5%, valuing the exchange at 4.5 tln rupees (≈$46.9 bln). The 225.6 bln-rupee IPO (≈$2.3 bln) is India’s second-largest on record after Hyundai Motor India’s 2024 listing. NSE is now among the world’s top-10 listed exchanges by market cap. Market participants note the exchange’s recent growth was driven mainly by rising derivatives volumes over the past four years, but that derivatives momentum has eased, shifting focus to where future growth will come from.
