Najaf International Airport said on the 25th that, under instructions from relevant authorities, it has suspended all inbound and outbound flights to and from Iran effective 0200 local time until further notice. The airport directed relevant parties to notify airlines and operators and barred any operational arrangements for affected flights during the suspension.

MOFCOM and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange reported Jan–Aug 2026 China outbound direct investment across all industries was 778.47 billion yuan, down 0.6% YoY; equivalent to $113.39bn, up 3.9% YoY. Non-financial direct investment by Chinese investors covered 8,424 overseas enterprises in 148 countries, totaling 595.06 billion yuan, down 14.4% YoY; equivalent to $86.68bn, down 10.6% YoY.
