Iranian foreign minister Araghchi said Tehran has submitted a concrete seven-day
plan to the United States and that the next move rests with Washington. He said
if the US accepts the plan the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened and a seven-day
countdown will start only after US acceptance. Araghchi added the measures
sought are not new, were included in a previously discussed memorandum of
understanding, and Iran will not relinquish sovereign rights under pressure.
