A U.S. federal jury in San Diego found on Friday that Apple (AAPL.O) infringed two Taction Technology patents covering vibration/haptic technology used in iPhone and Apple Watch, awarding Taction more than $5.7 billion. The jury judged the infringement was not willful. Apple said it strongly disagrees with the verdict and amount, will appeal, and maintains its Taptic Engine differs fundamentally from Taction’s technology.

China State Railway Group expects the nationwide rail network to carry about 13.0 million passengers on Sept. 26 and plans to operate 644 additional passenger trains. On Sept. 25 the system carried 21.761 million passengers.
