On the 26th (local time) the Israel Defense Forces said it carried out an airstrike earlier that day on a HEZBOLLAH weapons storage facility in southern Lebanon. The military said the site held weapons previously used to attack Israeli soldiers operating inside the so-called "security zone" and that the strike was intended to eliminate an "immediate threat." The statement warned any use of force from Lebanon aimed at harming Israeli civilians or soldiers will be met with a decisive response, and reiterated the IDF remains committed to implementing agreements between Israel and Lebanon.
