A European Commission spokesperson said on Monday the Commission plans to
propose postponing the effective date of its methane emissions regulation after
governments including France and the United States urged suspension or
withdrawal; no timeline was given. EU Energy Commissioner Dan Jørgensen said
last Friday Brussels is considering a one-year delay for the rule’s provisions
on imported fuels.
