Shanghai Stock Exchange and China Securities Index Co. will publish two new
indices: an SSE Innovative Drug Sci‑Tech Leading Index and an SSE STAR Market
Software Services Index. The Innovative Drug index will comprise 40 securities
selected from the STAR Market and the SSE Main Board based on high R&D intensity
and strong growth in the innovative-drug sector. The Software Services index
will comprise 40 STAR Market-listed companies in software development and
software services. The indices aim to boost STAR Market representation in
benchmarks and provide investors with new reference points for price discovery
in two high-growth sectors.
