Based on monitoring of 500 county markets and collection points, last week (Sept 21–27) China’s national live hog price was 11.36 yuan/kg, down 1.0% w/w; retail pork market price was 21.17 yuan/kg, flat w/w. UK mortgage approvals unexpectedly fell in August as higher borrowing costs linked to the Iran war deterred buyers.
