One option under discussion is temporarily lending missiles from member states' and EU partners' inventories with later replacement; she said replacement costs could be covered by the EU's €90bn aid loan to Ukraine. Kallas added the EU has so far approved procurement plans worth €28.3bn under that loan, which include Patriot missiles to be produced in the US.
