Israel’s internal security service Shin Bet has filed a complaint with the Israeli military censor against Channel 12 after the broadcaster reported on Prime Minister Netanyahu’s visit to the UAE, the Prime Minister’s Office said. Shin Bet said the report seriously violated censorship rules and requested legal action, adding the material was published at 9:38 p.m. local time while Netanyahu’s plane was still outside Israel; the plane landed at 10:27 p.m. Shin Bet said the disclosure endangered Netanyahu, delegation members and security personnel and revealed security methods that could raise risk on future trips. Channel 12 denied leaking the prime minister’s itinerary in advance.
