By currency, banks recorded a RMB net liability of USD 75.4 bln and foreign-currency net assets of USD 747.0 bln. Asset breakdown: cross-border deposits and loans USD 1,169.4 bln (55% of external assets), bonds USD 667.6 bln (31%), equity and other USD 307.3 bln (14%). External assets by currency: RMB USD 707.7 bln (33%), US dollar USD 983.3 bln (46%), other currencies USD 453.3 bln (21%). By counterparty, exposures to foreign banks USD 1,084.1 bln (51%) and to foreign non-bank sectors USD 1,060.2 bln (49%).
