Dongguan housing authority issued a notice introducing a home-purchase subsidy and loosening first-home commercial mortgage criteria. Buyers of newly built commercial housing in Dongguan (excluding three-limits housing and allocation-type subsidized housing such as affordable, talent and resettlement units) who sign and file the sale contract during the notice period and pay full deed tax by March 31, 2027 will receive a subsidy equal to 2% of the contract price, capped at 30,000 yuan. For commercial mortgage eligibility, a resident household that has no housing registered in its name in the town/street (or development park) where the target property sits may be treated as a first-home. Banks and other financial institutions will verify property-registration records, count housing units, and apply the corresponding housing credit policies.
