Hainan International Commercial Space Launch Co. said the main works for the Phase II Hainan commercial space launch site are complete and integrated rehearsals have begun. After further testing, the site’s two launch positions are scheduled to attain launch capability within the year. Construction formally started on Jan. 25, 2025; the site covers more than 1,100 mu. The project includes two general-purpose medium liquid launch pads able to serve two-stage rockets under 5m diameter, including Long March 12B-class vehicles.
