At midday close, China's most-active futures contracts were mixed: benzene, styrene (EB), propylene and methanol rose over 3%; monthly-average plastics and monthly-average polypropylene gained more than 2%; asphalt advanced nearly 2%. On the downside, #20 rubber and Shanghai crude (SC) fell over 3%; egg futures dropped nearly 3%; polysilicon, natural rubber, Shanghai silver, platinum and Asia–Europe container freight rates declined more than 2%.
