People familiar with the matter say OpenAI plans to raise at least $30 bln in a new funding round, targeting a valuation of about $1.4 tln excluding the new capital. If achieved, that would top rival Anthropic’s private-market valuation. Talks are at an early stage and terms could change. OpenAI declined to comment. CEO Sam Altman has said the company will not IPO this year and is prioritizing AI safety, calling current IPO timing unwise.
