Manufacturing production index 51.7 (up 1.3 ppt MoM); manufacturing new orders 50.5 (down 0.1 ppt MoM); both above the 50 expansion threshold. Agricultural and food processing and pharmaceuticals industries have production and new-orders indices above 55.0, indicating rapid release of output and demand. Chemical raw materials & chemical products and ferrous-metal smelting and rolling sectors have production and new-orders indices remaining below 50. Raw-materials purchasing index 51.0 (up 0.5 ppt MoM), reflecting increased procurement to meet production needs.
