China’s National Energy Administration issued 354 mln green certificates in August 2026, up 15.75% MoM, covering 3.7096 mln renewable power projects; 212 mln were tradable (60.04%). The issuance corresponded to 323 mln green certificates for July 2026 renewable generation (91.41%). Nationwide green-certificate trading in August totaled 60.55 mln, up 11.13% MoM and 25.18% YoY; green-power trading accounted for 25.52 mln, down 0.25% MoM and up 44.86% YoY.

Nikkei reports a draft of Prime Minister TAKAICHI's policy speech centers on "responsible proactive fiscal policy," saying the government will analyze and flexibly respond if economic or market developments diverge from expectations.
