At its semiannual results meeting, Changguang Huaxin Chairman and CEO Min Dayong said continued AI compute buildout should drive optical-communications revenue to grow faster than industrial lasers over the next 2 years. The company will deepen investment in AI optical communications, laser sensing and silicon photonics–optoelectronic integration. He said optical-chip prices are currently stable due to tight supply-demand, but long-term price declines are possible as yields improve, capacity expands and new entrants arrive. Industrial laser revenue rose in 1H with gross margin broadly unchanged. Demand for ultra-high-power specialty lasers is accelerating; the company expects rapid development in 2027-2028 with high confidence.
