Hong Kong stocks closed higher after a low open; the Hang Seng rose 0.37% to 24,613.27 and the Hang Seng Tech Index gained 0.1% to 4,253.89. Market turnover was HKD 187.16 bln. Innovative drug and CXO names led gains and airlines advanced; mainland property names recovered from intraday lows while home-appliance, chip and PCB sectors lagged. Recent IPO HuanChuang Technology (06802.HK) jumped 266%; CanSino Biologics (06185.HK) +17.5%; Joinn Laboratories (06127.HK) +15.6%; Hengrui Medicine (01276.HK) up over 10%; Yunding Xinyao (01952.HK) +7.7%; China Eastern Airlines (00670.HK) +5%.
