U.S. Treasury said it will buy up to $6 bln of 10- to 20-year Treasuries in a liquidity repurchase operation on Oct. 1.

The Pentagon said Boeing has been selected to build the US Navy's next‑generation stealth F/A‑XX fighter and will receive a $20 billion development contract to produce test aircraft. The program's total value could reach several hundred billion dollars as production scales and international customers may order. Boeing was also chosen last March to build the Air Force's new F‑47 stealth fighter, its second consecutive major win in sixth‑generation fighter programs.

U.S. Trade Representative Greer said he maintains fairly frequent contact with his Canadian counterpart.
