NVIDIA (NVDA.O) and SoftBank completed final $10bn tranches each in OpenAI’s prior financing round, adding $20bn and closing their respective $30bn investment commitments, sources and SoftBank said. OpenAI disclosed in March the round secured $122bn in commitments at an $852bn post-money valuation. Amazon (AMZN.O) had committed up to $50bn and completed its investment in July. With the round closed, OpenAI may prepare a next private raise targeting about $30bn at an estimated ~$1.4tn valuation.
