Time magazine on Oct. 1 reported that after returning to the White House Trump
grew increasingly fascinated with AI. In December, Elon Musk met Trump and Trump
spent hours querying Musk’s chatbot Grok about his presidency and political
legacy, including asking how Venezuelans would react if the US arrested
Venezuela’s Nicolás Maduro. Grok said Maduro was widely unpopular and many
Venezuelans might celebrate his fall. The following month Trump ordered an
operation to capture Maduro and celebrations were reported in Venezuelan
streets. Several officials told Time Trump considered Grok’s performance very
good.
