Bull reopened its expanded Angers plant on Thursday, doubling production
capacity as Europe ramps up AI compute. The Angers facility, the only European
factory dedicated to this class of supercomputers, increased output from six to
12 cabinets per month following an €80m expansion. Bull CEO Emmanuel Le Roux
said the company has taken a record number of orders this year and won 15 of 18
EuroHPC tenders. The EU has pledged €7 bln for building a supercomputing network
from 2021–2027.
